I went to the movies with my parents a while ago to see The Descendants. I can’t say I liked the movie at all. It’s definitely getting a lot of its current positive attention because George Clooney is in it, but I don’t think it’s an award-worthy film.

Me: So you can what?

Me: Oh, I thought you said so you can call me. As in, cat-calls?

Dre: Oh, yeah, you know. MEEEOOOOOWWWW!

Me: That is not how cat-calling works!

Pleasing people.

Me: Guys, we are going to be group two, okay?

8th grader: (stares) Are you Becca?

Me: No. I am not.

8th grader (to other 8th grader): See? I told you!

Second 8th grader: How was I supposed to know?!

Me: How badly do you guys need me to be Becca?

8th grader: REAL BAD.

Me: Okay, well then, you can call me Becca.

8th grader: Cool. (does finger-pointing motion)

In some rather pleasant news.

I stopped following this football season a while ago, when my team lost four games in a row and my spirit deteriorated.

Now, I find out that my team is going to the Super Bowl, in a match against the same team they faced in the 2008 Super Bowl. And I will watch, knowing they will kick ass again.

GO GIANTS.
